In 2016 LG decided to move television production from Biskupice Podgórne to Mława, and in the Wrocław–Kobierzyce subzone the first high-performance lithium‑ion battery factory for electric vehicles in Europe, operated by LG Energy Solution, was established. The first phase of production was launched in 2018.
Currently, this plant is the world's largest factory producing batteries for electric cars. Its production capacity is 100 GWh of battery capacity per year, which corresponds to the production of 1 million battery cells.
The EURO-PARK Kobierzyce investment areas are within the boundaries of the area managed by ARP S.A. under the support system set out in the Act on Supporting New Investments. The areas located in Biskupice Podgórne and Bielany Wrocławskie are additionally included in the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone.
More than 20 companies operate in the park, primarily representing the automotive sector, as well as the electronics, paper and machinery industries. Thanks to its developed infrastructure and the availability of investment land, EURO-PARK Kobierzyce is one of the most important industrial centers in Lower Silesia.
EURO-PARK Kobierzyce is located in the immediate vicinity of Wrocław — the largest economic and academic center of Lower Silesia. The park's strategic location provides businesses with access to a skilled workforce, developed scientific and research infrastructure, and a wide market of suppliers and cooperation partners.
A key asset of the location is its excellent transport accessibility. EURO-PARK Kobierzyce is situated close to the A4 motorway, one of the most important transport corridors connecting Western Europe with Central and Eastern Europe, and the S8 expressway, which provides rapid links to central Poland. The proximity of the Wrocław Motorway Bypass enables smooth connections to other parts of the metropolitan area and to the national road network.
An additional advantage is the short distance to Wrocław Airport, which serves both passenger and cargo traffic, facilitating the conduct of internationally oriented operations.
The park's location in one of Poland's fastest-growing regions, surrounded by numerous investors in the automotive, electronics and advanced technology sectors, fosters business collaboration, the development of resilient supply chains and the implementation of modern investment projects.
